Azularia was born from the shared dream of two sisters who grew up surrounded by afternoons of arts and crafts, playing Nintendo, and a deep love for traditional art: drawing, painting, creating comics...
Both in our thirties, we decided to take an artistic turn in our lives, and starting 2025 we decided to create our own studio to learn from scratch, experiment, and discover more about ceramics and - more specifically... the art of creating tiles. This was possible with the unconditional support of our family, always by our side. (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
Our choice to make ceramic tiles has its own story. For more than 20 years, our family has collected antique ceramic tiles from the Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau movements. We grew up surrounded by these wonderful pieces, discovering how the passage of time only enhanced their individual beauty, and we truly learned to appreciate the unique character they bring to a home. ✧
Every tile that leaves our studio is entirely handmade, with the hope that it will become one of those special little pieces that stay with a family for many years. We are inspired by bringing together tradition with touches of pop culture and childhood nostalgia, creating one-of-a-kind objects that tell stories and make a space feel a little more personal. ♡
